Last Friday, Gigi and Papa came into town for a weekend visit. Papa had not seen Avery in almost a month and was ready to see his sweet granddaughter. Avery showed them her new buggy and they enjoyed some walks around the neighborhood. We headed downtown Apex that evening when daddy got off work. Downtown Apex is always a lot of fun on Friday nights. The shops all stay open later, the streets are full and the beautiful weather made it even more enjoyable. We had some yummy food at Anna's, while Avery kept us entertained. After dinner we headed to the yogurt shop per daddy's request. Salem street has a lot of delicious places to eat and enjoy yummy treats. Avery has had some licks of ice cream and her Pepaw and Grammy give her popsicles, but that night she got her own little sample sized ice cream. She thorroughly enjoyed her own little cup.
She had fun talking, walking (with help) and playing on Papa's shoulders.
We look forward to more fun nights spent downtown. It has a lot of small town charm and we always have a good time.
Apex's Peak Fest will be here soon and we can't wait to take Avery.
