Happy Halloween

This year we did not get dressed up or do anything exciting for Halloween because I had to work most of the weekend. However, this year we had a lot of trick-or-treaters. We live in a neighborhood with a lot of families and that is connected to other large subdivisions. Trey did most of the dishing out of candy until I got home from work, but we didn't run out of candy. Sweet Sadie got a new costume this year. Can you tell how much she loved being a bumble bee?
She's not really into costumes and dress up, but she looks adorable.

Congrats Grace and Vason!

We had a great weekend in Rocky Mount for the Wedding of Grace and Vason. It was so nice to see everyone and spend so much time together. I have never seen Grace so happy in my entire life and it was amazing.
Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Hamrick

Thanks to those who took one for the team and drank my beverages and ordered me virgin drinks so my secret would not be let out. I am very lucky to have an amazing group of friends. Look forward to our next gathering and especially Mo and Danny's big day in September.

Cousins

We were so excited to tell our neices about baby King. I love those three girls so much. About a year after we got were married, they started telling us how much the wanted us to have a baby. We would talk about how one day they could babysit and they would tell us how they wanted a cousin. After telling most of our immediate family on Saturday, we stopped by my grandparents house on Sunday after church. Then that afternoon we headed to Alexis' soccer game. After the game we gave each of the girls an envelope with a question or cute saying about their future baby cousin. Alexis replied, "seriuosly?" and "is it already in your belly?" Madison, knew just what was going on and had a big smile on her face. Sweet blonde Samantha was so excited as soon as we explained it to her. They are going to be the best helpers. This baby is so lucky to have such awesome cousins.

Surprise!

Both of our families went to the ECU vs NC State game in Greenville a few weeks ago. Trey and I originally were going to wait until Thanksgiving to tell our families about baby King. However, it is not much fun and very difficult keeping this secret, so we decided to tell everyone while tailgating before the game. We set up my tripod and got our group together. Before we set the timer and clicked the picture, Trey said "on 3 every say Becky's pregnant." Well, by the looks of the picture you can tell no one had time to process it. Some thought it was a joke until we reassured them that we are expecting a baby at the beginning of June.

Finally, we took another picture and you can see the joy and excitement of that day. We had a great time celebrating despite the Wolfpack loss.

Why were starting a blog?

You heard it right. The King's are starting a blog. Now your thinking why, and I am sure that many thoughts are going through your head. So here is your answer...

We are expecting our first baby in June 2011. Yeah!!!!!!!!

That's right, I am entering into my 11th week of pregnancy. The past few weeks have been something that we will never forget and look forward to sharing. We hope this blog we keep those that we are not fortunate enough to see as much as we would like to connected with us and our new journey. We also look forward to this new technological way of keeping track of this special time in our life.
