Twins?

I have mentioned how blessed we are to have some awesome hand-me-downs from friends.  A few weeks ago we had a day of fall weather and Avery enjoyed wearing Cameron's warmer clothing.  She was also able to sport Parker's pink Uggs.  It was such a joy to have the cooler weather, and we can't wait for it to return.

Check out the picture of Avery compared to the one of Cameron when she was a baby.

Has it really been 2 weeks?

I know that I have neglected our blog recently, but did not realize it had been almost 2 weeks since the last post.  We have been very busy with football games, home renovations, birthdays, appointments and weddings.  Mommy and daddy went to the beach last weekend for Kelly and Whitney's wedding in Tabor City.  Gigi and Papa spent the weekend with Avery and they all had a blast.  Mommy and daddy missed Avery very much, but enjoyed getting videos and pictures of her while they were gone.  It was our first entire weekend away from Avery.

Avery has been to 3 NCSU football games now and is looking forward to the NCSU vs Ga Tech game tomorrow.  We think it is going to be a perfect fall day for some football and we are glad the game is at 3:30pm.  Those 6pm games are a bit too late for Avery now that she is older and in need a particular bedtime.  She is still very flexible and a great little girl.

We have had many firsts in the last couple weeks.  In addition to our first weekend away, Avery is rolling from back to front and occasionally from front to back.  Mommy has started to make baby food for when Avery begins to start on rice and food in the next 2 months.  We have a good supply of peaches, avacado, peas, carrots, and bananas with peaches.  For $3 I made about a months worth of carrots.  Mommy hopes that she can keep up with Avery as she starts on solid foods.
Avery is finally big enough for her Johnny Jump Up and her exersaucer.  She is really enjoying these new activities, but she still has a blast on her activity mat.  Mommy has to make sure she is secure in her swing and boucy seat these days because Miss things is quite the wiggle worm at times.
We used the swing in the backyard and it was a huge hit.
Avery loves her walks.  She is big enough to go for rides in her stroller without the infant carrier.  She might be in her first 5K next weekend if the wolf pack don't have an early game.
Avery continues to love bath time more and more.  She started splashing and kicking a bunch in the tub.  I have a funny video that I need to learn how to load.  She also has her first poop in the tub, but I will spare you the pictures!
Sometimes she has so much fun that she passes out on her bouncy seat or activity mat.

Here are some cute pics of her loving on her "luvie" while sleeping in her swing.  Most of the time she likes to put them in her mouth.  Avery is not a big paci baby, but she sure does love to suck on her fingers.
Mommy forget her camera for Kelly and Whitney's wedding, as well as when we went to dinner with Pepaw for his 65th birthday.  I did get this picture of Avery at home right before we left.
Happy Birthday Pepaw.  We love you very much!

Picture texts

I am so grateful for technology.  It has allowed me to get pictures of my lil pumpkin while I am away or at work.  We love when family send us pictures of Avery when we cannot be with her.  Especially, when I am working those long 24-hour shifts.  Here are some pictures in no particular order, that I have received since heading back to work and from our first night away last weekend.
Above is Avery's first time going with Grammy to pick her cousins up from school!
Below is when Grammy got her new stroller, which Avery loves!

Hanging out at Pepaw and Grammy's

Avery went to the NCSU vs Wake Forest game
At the game in a new outfit after a little accident.  Sorry Grammy!
She had so much fun hanging out with Aunt Robyn
 Ready for bed!
Aunt Roni got a video of Avery talking to her while mommy slept after a long night shift.  Mommy is so glad Aunt Roni can come Wednesday mornings so she can sleep when she gets home from work!
Gigi and Papa also watched Avery on a Saturday night, so we could go out.  They had fun with Avery and Sadie, while we enjoyed our picture texts and night out!

Of course daddy sends mommy pictures of Avery with sweet messages!

3 Month Photo Shoot

A few weeks ago we had some photos of Avery with Michelle Tomlinson Photography.  We didn't get as many as we had hoped for due to the weather and a certain little girl decided she did not want to smile.  Even with mommy and Grammy making tons of crazy noises and funny faces, she hardly cracked a smile for us.  She wasn't crying, but was content at watching us act like fools.  Our session also got cut short due to the huge thunderstorm that came through North Raleigh.  Here are a few...

Only got a few in her christening gown because the weather really started getting bad.

Mommy was able to get a few snap shots of Avery on the front porch...

Nothing better than her smiles.  I can never get enough of them!

Laughing and babbling

We cannot get enough of Avery's smiles, but it has gotten better....she's laughing!  After the State game on Saturday night, she babbled and cooed the entire way home.  It was the sweetest sound.  She listened to the after game reports and talked to all of us about her first game.  I wish I would have gotten it on video, but I will try and get it soon!  I also need to learn how to load a video to the blog.

Here's a picture of her laughing on our walk the other night...
I also captured some good pictures of Avery laughing on the front porch last week.
