2 weeks...really?

Sorry for the hiatus, we have been very busy enjoying summer.  Our computer was also on the fritz and that is a big reason for the lack of posts, as I had a hard time gettting pictures to upload.  Here is what have wee been up to in the last 2 weeks.  We went to the beach father's day weekend.  While at the beach, we had Avery's 1 year portraits and some family pictures done.  I just got a disk of all the images and will post some soon.  Avery was sick prior to our beach trip, got better and then was congested and miserable towards the end of our trip.  A little virus didn't keep us from having fun, and we were able to enjoy the beach all day Saturday.  We also celebrated Papa's birthday while in Atlantic Beach.  Sunday we packed up the car to the brim and headed home.  Avery did not feel well at all and the next couple days would be a little rough for our sweet girl.
As you can see Avery was not a happy camper prior to our trip.

We had lunch at Ruddy Duck and got to check out some of the Big Rock action while in downtown Morehead City.
Avery had a blast on the beach and got some good naps in as well.  Must have been the ocean air.

She loves the sand, but the water is her favorite!

Avery and Mommy got sick at the end of our trip, but we were able to sleep the entire ride home.

We said goodbye to Gigi and Papa and enjoyed some very necessary relaxation time Sunday before heading to Robyn and Ian's for father's day dinner with Pepaw and Grammy.  For the next 2-3 days we fought off the yucky virus and a miserable diaper rash.  Mommy and daddy will be better prepared for future beach trips so we can avoid another experience like that.
 We love our daddy!

Last weekend we celebrated cousin Alexis' birthday.  Avery and daddy got to spend a lot of quality time together while mommy worked some extra hours that weekend as well.  We were able to squeeze in some pool time with our cousins on Friday and then as a family on Sunday before mommy went to work that evening.
  She loves bathtime with daddy.
He also lets her prance around the house naked before and after her bath.

Avery can point to her nose when you ask her, "where's your nose?"
We attempted to go to North Hills for the Thursday night beach music, but thunderstorms change our plans.  We were able to catch up with our friends, the Stephens.  Avery had funny playing with Cami and Noah.

This Wednesday we made some last minute plans to go hear Liquid Pleasure at Waverly Place in Cary.  It is similar to the outdoor music in North Hill on Thursdays, but just with more families.  Avery had a great time and she was happy to see friends and family out there as well; especially her buddy James.  It was a great time, but next time we will plan in advance so we can enjoy it more.

Avery loved playing with James, who will be 2 this September.

Thursday we dropped daddy off at work so we can pick him up and get on the road for a weekend in Hickory.  Avery and I were able to go play with Cami and Noah this morning after dropping daddy off.  She had a blast playing with them and we also enjoyed a walk before the weather got really hot!  Mommy forgot to take pictures :-(

I think we are now caught up and can get back to having fun and blogging about it.  We hope everyone had a great weekend and we will be back soon to blog about our weekend in Hickory!
