Tons of Fun in One Weekend

I don't think we could have crammed anymore fun in this past weekend.  Friday Avery got to hang out with Grammy and Pepaw while we went to the Darius Rucker and Lady Antebellum concert.  We had a great time with Robyn and Ian.  We also got to have a little tailgate fun with our friends Scott and Kelley.

Saturday afternoon we met up with the Siemerings at the pool.  It was cute to see Avery and Elliott together.  You can't tell much from the picture below, but Avery is 6 months older.

Saturday evening, we went to Chris and Kristen's wedding in Apex.  The venue was gorgeous and we were excited that it was just 3 miles from our house.  Avery got to play with Madison that evening while we were away.  It was great to catch up with friends.  I love to hear couples profess their vowels, and  I enjoyed listening to their minister preach about marriage.  I always walk away energized and with a desire to make our marriage stronger.  Congrats to Chris and Kristen!  Their wedding was beautiful and we hope they are having fun in Mexico.
Avery and I hung out at home Sunday while Trey helped my grandfather move the last of his furniture to his new home in Sanford.  After a good nap, we went to the Durham Bulls game with Robyn, Ian, Grammy and Pepaw.  This was Avery's first baseball game and she had fun.
Sharing a basket of chicken fingers and fries with daddy.
We all went home with ketchup on our clothes or in a bow!
We learned that sporting events are not as easy now that Avery is on the move.  This football season we might need to make alternative plans and schedule some child care if we both want to enjoy the games.

Avery's favorite part of the evening was eating ice cream and Italian ice.
