Girls are so much funner...

After the cake-pops cooled, we placed them in these fun valentine's bags that Samantha pick out.

We took some of these yummy treats to Aunt Robyn and Uncle Ian before getting ready for bed.

As for the balloons, we blew them up in many different sizes, played volleyball and other fun games. Samantha had a blast popping them, aka scaring Sadie and Uncle Trey.

Over half way there...
The most common question people want to know is: how long I am going to be able to continue flying at work. I love the surprised look on their face when I say things like, "till the end," "till my water breaks" and "till they kick me off." There have been many women at my job that have continued flying and working on patients until their due date. We do most of our transports in a helicopter, so we do not fly as high as you would in a plane. At our first OB appointment, we discussed this with my doctors and they said that I can continue to do my normal work as long as baby and I stay healthy. I feel great and this will continue to be my goal. I want to save my time off for when Miss Priss is here. With her June 3rd due date, the plan is to be off from work June-August. Then I will head back in September; get to see what it is like to have a teacher schedule this summer! If I enjoy it too much, you might see school nurse in my future.
Everyone asks if I have felt her move, and I think that I have. Most women describe the feeling as so many different things, so it is hard to tell sometimes if it's her or me. Guess I will know what those baby movements and kicks consistently feel like really soon. In the meantime, I am enjoying all this energy. My house has never looked so good or been so organized. We are hoping to have the upstairs finished, all new furniture here and a new backsplash in the kitchen before June. Last night while I was working, Trey moved all the guest bedroom furniture upstairs to the new guest bedroom. We are hoping to pick a paint color this week and finish the addition to the crown molding and painting of the nursery in the coming weeks.
Our next OB appointment is at the end of the month. I will be sure to post more on baby King's progress and the progress of her nursery.

Baby King is a GIRL!
Excuse me for the delay in this post, we have had a busy schedule and some computer glitches. On December 29th, we had an appointment/ultrasound in which we found out that baby King is a girl! She is healthy and growing on schedule for her June 3rd due date.

White Christmas
We had a very relaxing day, hanging out at the house and enjoying the snow. Trey had the privilege of shoveling the driveway and he did an awesome job.

Sadie loved the snow. I think she would have stayed outside all day if we would let her. It is so much fun to watch her run around the backyard.
I love this weather and hope see it again next year when we are a family of 3. Especially so we can take a big ski trip. Skiing and sushi are 2 things that I truly miss, but it is all more than worth the sacrifice. I have not felt any movements from baby King yet, but I am anxiously awaiting that feeling. They say I could feel it anytime in the next few weeks. New moms usually take longer to notice the movement. We are very anxious about our appointment on Dec 29th. Hopefully, we will be able to find out if our little angel is a boy or girl.

Merry Christmas

On Friday afternoon, we went to the children's Christmas eve service with my family. After, we all went to my parents house for dinner, family fun and to exchange gifts. It is so much fun to watch my nieces open presents. Trey and I got the girls these Nerf guns that they were very excited about opening.
Below is a picture of my 3 nieces with Peepaw!

It was a great Christmas Eve. We are especially looking forward to Christmas next year and our special new addition being with us all. Baby King got some wonderful presents this year. He or she is very blessed and has so many eager people that can wait to have he/she in their life. Sunday, December 19, 2010
McCall Christmas & Remembering an Amazing Man

Bree and Cam (baby King's future cousin and buddy).

Looking at the family calendar that we made for Mawmaw and Pawpaw.

Mawmaw and Taylor
Mawmaw and her 3 children (Cathy, Grey and Ann).

Uncle Felix and Rush.
Saturday we all piled in the grocery-getter and headed to Kannapolis. This year was different from years past, as we had our gathering at Mawmaw and Pawpaw's house. Trey and I have been blessed to each have 1 set of living grandparents. Over the past few weeks his grandfather, Pawpaw, has had a decline in his health. Pawpaw Rex is an amazing man. I have been blessed to share many special occasions and holidays with him. He has beautiful voice, wonderful sense of humor, and an unmeasurable love for his family and our Lord. We are very grateful for the time we were able to spend with Pawpaw, Mawmaw and the rest of the McCall family on Saturday. When we returned home on Sunday afternoon, we learned that Pawpaw had gone to be with the good Lord. Baby King will be Pawpaw's second great-grandchild, and he/she is going to be so blessed to have a special guardian angel.Pawpaw,
We love you; We miss you; We know that you are in a better place!
Pawpaw and Trey at his 90th Birthday. The Most Wonderful TIme of the Year!

I have been very fortunate not to have experienced any nausea during this pregnancy. Starting to get those bursts of energy everyone talks about in their second trimester. I am having fun taking on all the projects around our house. Of course I have had a lot of wonderful helpers, especially Trey. Hope you enjoy the pictures of our house all decorated for Christmas. We are looking forward to Christmas and finishing out 2010 with friends and family.

Thanksgiving 2010
This year we have been extremely blessed and were very thankful to be able to spend Thanksgiving with both of our families. Trey's parents, sister and her boyfriend came into town on Wednesday and we went to the Canes game. It was so much fun. We always enjoy a Canes game. This one was close and fun, even though they lost.
On Thanksgiving day we had a great breakfast. I made my mom's monkeybread and
an amazing breakfast casserole from Cathy. That afternoon we went to my sister's house for great food and family. We had a great time with everyone and were lucky to be able to share Thanksgiving with both families. As usual, my nieces were so much fun and everyone enjoyed hanging out by the fire. Baby King is going to be so loved and we looked forward to him/her being with us for Thanksgiving in 2011.
