Fun at Gigi and Papa's House

Last week, mommy had to work a lot more than usual, so Avery went to stay with her Gigi and Papa.  We met them half way on Wednesday evening and from there Avery was off to Hickory for several days of fun.  We got lots of pictures and texts of her having fun and being a good girl.  She enjoyed playing in the nursery at their church, going on many walks, merry-go-round rides, frozen yogurt and a lot of love from her grandparents.  Wish I could have gotten some of the videos uploaded, but for now you will have to enjoy these pictures.
She had all her buddies with her for the rest of her ride to HKY.
Avery loved having Gigi sit with her in the back seat.
She had so much fun bathing and swimming in Gigi's big tub!

Gigi and Papa gave us a lot of good reports and sent lots of pics of Avery.
Her sweet grandparents recorded some Mickey shows in anticipation of her arrival.

Sweet girl resting up for a new day of fun!

Avery help Papa cooking and always had her baby nearby.

Quenching her thirst after having so much fun.

Avery enjoyed her mac n' cheese so much that she licked her plate.

Napping before her afternoon adventures with Gigi and Papa.

Avery rode the carousel and ate some frozen yogurt later in the day!

Avery enjoyed a lot of walks with Gigi and Papa.

Mommy and daddy got to Hickory on Friday night, and we were so excited to see her when she woke up on Saturday morning.  On Saturday, we went to Oktoberfest in the afternoon.  It was a pretty day to walk around and take it all in.

We finished the weekend out with a trip to Kannapolis to see more family and celebrate Mawmaw's 88th birthday.  Avery had a blast playing with her cousin, Camilla, who is 9 months older than she.

Play Dates

Avery has been a busy bee this fall and she is having fun playing with all her friends and schoolmates.  It is neat to see her interact with other children her age and older.  She adores the older kids and loves to watch them whenever we are out and about.  Here are some pictures from some of our play dates.

We met Spencer and his mommy, Corrie, for dinner and some outside fun one night while the daddy's were playing golf.  We grubbed on some Chik-fi-la and then these tow lovebirds ran around Waverly Place.

Daddy had a talk with Avery about kissing boys when he got home from golf.

Back in September, we met the Stephen's for a morning at the Museum of Life and Science.  It was Avery's first time on the train and she had fun.  Avery Adores Cami and thinks Noah is a prince!  It was so fun to see the kids playing music and enjoying all the other fun things at MOLAS.

It was adorbale to watch them dancing and playing.
Sweet girl

We know it is the fall season and hope our friends don't get any yucky viruses.  We had to cancel some play dates recently because Avery's buddies have been sick.  Glad that she enjoys others company because mommy has fun too!

Pumpkin Patch 2012

Last Saturday we went to Hillridge Farms.  It was a gorgeous day for some fall fun at the pumpkin patch.  We enjoyed a hayride, bounce houses, lemonade, pony rides, slides, mazes, forts and so much more.  Grammy and Samantha joined us for the day of fun.  It was our first time and we were very impressed with all the fun things.  It will definitely be a annual trip, but next year we are going to visit on a weekday so that it will not be a crowded.

Next year this picture will have another King baby in it.

Avery had so much fun running through the pumpkin patch.

She tried to pick up some small pumpkins.

 Mommy and her favorite pumpkin!

Jumping and running through the bounce house.

 Breaking for a snack.

Pony ride with a little help from daddy.

Avery and Samantha went down the big slide together.

Daddy enjoyed the big slide as well.

Big Girl

Avery is a toddler and growing up more and more each week.  She is starting to become more independent and we love to watch her learn new things.  It will not be long before she is saying, "I do..."  Here is what our big girl has been up to....

Feeding herself with forks and spoons.  She can also eat from a plate and bowl as well.

Avery loves fruit and now can eat them on her own without being cut into pieces.
Walks to the car and into the house when prompted.

Coloring...only lasted about 10 minutes, but she had fun!

Avery can go down the slides at the park on her own.  She LOVES the park!
Swimming like a big girl in her new floaty.
 Helping mommy around the house!

 Yummy

Avery really enjoys getting showers.
